猴子軍團的外野手Bobby Abreu 賽後說了這樣一句話。

沒錯，就像安西老爹對三井說的---"現在放棄，比賽就結束了!!!"

這個晚上，逆轉猴(Rally Monkey)大鬧芬威公園~~

小時候肥，果然不是肥!!!   

猴子軍團在芬威公園橫掃肥襪，挺進美聯冠軍系列賽。

儘管系列賽前大家都看好猴子軍團，卻怎麼也想不到會是這樣結束系列賽的。

一個連續26局未失分的終結者，居然大崩盤而且終結了這個系列賽。

(今年第一輪分區賽上演了三次!!!)

我想這就是棒球迷人之處，永遠無法知道下一秒鐘會發生甚麼事情!!!

猴子軍團粉碎了肥襪軍團最後一絲希望

寶貝碰崩盤，肥襪被橫掃~~ TT

The Red Sox were getting ready to play Game 4 tonight.

肥襪軍團r今晚準備好要打第四戰了。

They had a two-run lead with their playoff-perfect closer on the mound in the ninth. They had two outs, no one on base and two strikes on the No. 9 batter.

在九局上半，猴子軍團的最後半局，肥襪軍團的終結者---寶貝碰，有兩分領先。

兩出局後，壘包是空的，而且面對第九棒打者也搶到兩好球了。

Jonathan Papelbon’s disastrous finish to Game 3 of the AL Division Series - he allowed three runs on three hits and two walks, one intentional - resulted in a 7-6 loss to the Angels, who swept the Sox right off their feet yesterday.

寶貝碰在九局上半的投球根本就是災難一場。掉了三分，被打三支安打還有兩個保送，其中一個是故意四壞。

結果肥襪放假了，被猴子軍團橫掃。

This loss happened fast, Usain Bolt-fast.

這實在發生得太快了，措手不及呀~

And the shock won’t go away anytime soon.

而且輸球的震撼久久不能散去

“I think things happened quick more than anything - I wasn’t able to stop the bleeding,” Papelbon said after a long moment in front of his locker, his ceaseless stare boring a hole through the back of the clubhouse couch after his 26-inning postseason scoreless streak ended. “Your team fights to put you in that situation, to call upon you, you let them down, it’s a feeling of there’s a lot of weight on your shoulders because your team expects you to pull through and deserve that win from you and when you don’t, it’s definitely not a good feeling.”

儘管寶貝碰在季後賽已經有26局未失分，但是今天不只記錄中止，系列賽也結束了。

寶貝碰被換下場，背對著教練走下投手丘時，目光如豆，十分失落。

"你的隊友在場上奮戰而且取得領先"，"沒想到你的表現卻讓他們失望了"

"這時候就像千斤萬斤的壓力壓在肩上，因為你的隊友期待可以挺過這一關"，

"但是你卻搞砸了，這的確不好受!!!"

The Red Sox’ feel-good turnaround script had played out perfectly until the ninth.

這場比賽前八局，襪子們都覺得比起前兩場好太多了。特別是打線終於開火。

Starter Clay Buchholz pitched well, allowing just two runs in five-plus innings.

先發投手八釦子表現得不錯，投滿五局後，在六局上退場，只掉兩分。

The Sox’ moribund offense, which was held to just one run and eight hits in Games 1 and 2, got to starter Scott Kazmir the second time around the order. It produced a 3-0 lead in the third and a 5-1 advantage in the fourth after J.D. Drew’s two-run homer.

系列賽前兩場總共打出八支安打得到一分的肥襪軍團，第三戰面對從光芒轉隊成為猴子軍團一員的Scott Kazmir。

肥襪在第三局就取得3:0的領先；到了五局，總是在季後賽報恩的豬(J.D. Drew)來了一發兩分彈。

Down 5-2, the Angels scored twice in the eighth when Papelbon, who came on with two on and two outs, gave up a two-run single.  Mike Lowell’s RBI single in the bottom of the frame, however, gave the Sox a two-run cushion.

八局上兩人出局，寶貝碰登板接替Wagner投球，挨了一支兩分打點的一壘安打。5:4 肥襪領先一分

接著八局下半，賣肉(Mike Lowell)的一分打點幫肥襪增添了一分保險分。6:4肥襪領先兩分

From there, the hosts needed three outs against the bottom third of the Angels order with their top-shelf closer on the mound.

九局上半，主場的肥襪軍團需要三個出局數來結束比賽。肥襪推出最頂尖的終結者來面對猴子軍團的最後三棒。

Papelbon got the first two outs.

That was it.

寶貝碰很快取得兩個出局數。然後...接下來的大家都知道了!!!

“The season doesn’t wind down, it just comes to a crashing halt,” manager Terry Francona said. “You go into the top of the inning excited because you think you’re going to keep playing. Half an inning later, you’re going home.”

"這個球季不是糾纏到最後一刻才結束，是瞬間崩盤作收!!!",總教練粉柯南(Terry Francona)這樣說。

"在八局下時，心情還很興奮，想著還有第四戰可以打，繼續奮戰"

"誰知道，半局後，我們就放假了!!!"

General manager Theo Epstein thought his team certainly was capable of winning the World Series, but the Angels outplayed the Sox. And the way it happened at the very end simply came out of the blue.

帥哥總經理Theo Epstein認為肥襪軍團有問鼎世界大賽冠軍的實力，但是現在卻放假了。(應該沒有總經理不這麼認為吧~)

世事難料呀!!!

“It was a surprise because our bullpen’s strong,” Epstein said. “We had a nice lead, we had the shadows, we had a little bit of momentum, but they scrapped hard in the late innings and we weren’t able to put guys away. Had a lot of guys, 0-2, two strikes, just weren’t able to put guys away.”

"這實在太意外了，我們的牛棚是很穩的"，"這場比賽我們有領先，我們有主場優勢，我們還有球迷給予的加油氣勢"

(芬威公園在下午比賽時，會在本壘附近形成陰影，但是投手丘附近是陽光普照)

"但是在最後一局，猴子軍團不輕言結束比賽而且我們一直無法把比賽結束掉!!!"

"兩出局，搶到兩好球後，我們讓太多人上壘了，而且一直無法把門關上!!!" 帥哥總經理說了這麼說~

For a change in this ALDS rivalry, it was the Angels who put away the Red Sox.

對於美聯分區賽來說，有一些事情不一樣了。猴子晉級，肥襪放假。

Coming into Fenway Park with a 2-0 lead, Los Angeles certainly had everything pointing in its direction for a series win. But to accomplish it the way it did - so swiftly, so suddenly - made it shocking.

對猴子軍團來說，進入芬威公園前就已經拿到兩場勝利，贏得這個系列賽就差這麼一場。

但是，用這樣的方式晉級美聯冠軍戰也太快速，太意外，太..........。總之，猴子們也嚇到了。

“That’s how the game goes,” David Ortiz said. “We’ve finished people up in three games before, too. It tells you as quick as it comes, as quick it can go.”

"棒球比賽就是如此呀!!!" 老爹這樣說。

"我們打了三場比賽，一轉眼這個系列賽就結束了!!!"
